Submit a Song to the iCare Album Project; releasing Spring 2012

With the working title of “iCare”, the album will be promoted to worldwide radio outlets including Sirius/XM, and In-flight Programming. Promotion will also include pitching distribution through Starbucks, Target, Barnes & Noble, and more distribution channels.

 The “iCare” project will also be released to all the major digital platforms including iTunes, Amazon, etc. Proceeds will go directly to benefit the children they serve who are in the hospital undergoing treatment for cancer or other life threatening illness.

The “iCare” album will be produced by Discovery Arts’ President Don Harper, a renowned film composer, conductor and songwriter. Mr. Harper’s composer film credits include: The Guardian, National Treasure, National Treasure 2, The Great Raid, Haunted Mansion, Training Day, Lion King 1 ½, The Legend of Tarzan, Houdini, Domestic Disturbance, and many more.

The iCare project is seeking a combination of celebrity and indie artists to submit songs that are appealing to the masses; songs that are known hits, or songs with mainstream hit qualities. Songs will be considered from all genres including; Rock, Pop, Jazz, Americana, Country, Folk, Blues, Christian Rock/CHR, etc.

So please send us your best work that you would like to be considered for this great cause that will have a positive impact on improving the lives of children. 

To be considered, all submitted songs must be mastered to current broadcast quality state-of-the-art standards. If a particular song is selected for inclusion in the compilation, all copyright holders, including the owner(s) of the sound recording and copyright claimant(s) of the underlying musical compositions shall grant Discovery Arts a royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive mechanical and digital reproduction license in perpetuity for the proposes of the manufacture and distribution of the compilation iCare album. The record label, and/or artist / songwriter will retain ownership of all copyrights.


Because Discovery Arts brings all forms of Art to the children they serve, your artwork for the album/CD cover artwork and to promote the album will also be considered. Please encourage your artist and musician friends to consider submitting artwork to the “iCare” project also.

The board members of Discovery Arts will consider all submissions and will be using a music panel process to determine the songs to be included. You will be notified if your song and/or artwork is being considered for the final selection process.

To submit song(s) please include an MP3 of the song submission, lyrics, songwriter credits, performance credits, copyright information, and your direct contact information or management contact information so the music panel may notify you.

All of our programs are offered free of charge to hospitals, patients and their families we serve. With support from corporations and private foundations, a committed circle of private donors, art supply manufacturers, and an enthusiastic corps of volunteers, Discovery Arts currently provides programs to more than 3,500 critically ill children each year.
